WAPS Welcomes Wandsworth's Mayor

We were thrilled to welcome Cllr Nicola Nardelli, the Mayor of Wandsworth, to the Scrapstore yesterday for a visit. We’re obviously very proud of what we do, and it was great to be able to show it off to such a VIP! Catherine accompanied her on a tour of the Scrapstore, and tells us all about it below. Madame Mayor was greeted by Lucy, our Chair of Trustees, and Kayla, one of our newest volunteers, with a bouquet of artificial flowers she had made. Introducing Cool It Art!

We're thrilled to announce that we're going to be working with Cool it Art as part of this year's Wandsworth Fringe. Amanda Callis, the Art Facilitator, Artist & Director of Cool it Art, tells us more about it below. Cool it Art is excited to be partnering with Work and Play Scrapstore - our first collaboration will be an event for the Wandsworth Fringe, May 2016 - more details to follow soon! For our first blog of the new year, we're very happy to have a guest post from Chloe, one of our student members. I’m currently a second year student studying a degree in Live Events and Television at London College of Communication.
