Wandsworth Fringe 2015 launch!

Work and Play Scrapstore were delighted to be at the Wandsworth Fringe Launch party at the Doodle Bar, Battersea, opened by the Mayor of Wandsworth.

We were there with our magical wishing tree, made by our very own talented Teresa out of junk that would otherwise have ended up in incineration or landfill. The tree looked gorgeous, lots of people made wishes - including Cath, The Producer of Wandsworth Fringe, and we enjoyed some great acts - from beat boxing, to dance, to acrobatics to caberet.

Our in-house artist, Jayson Singh, made an impression with his amazing live rangoli street art and our lovely new member Nicole Line made bunting out of our fabric. We were also delighted to see our friends Tash from Emergency Exit Arts and Woolf from All Saints Church, Tooting.

Our wishing tree will now go on a journey throughout the Fringe from the Doodle Bar, Testbed 1 to Sprout Community Art, to the Pied Piper Story-telling festival both on procession to Tooting Bec Common and then in the glade on the common. We will then welcome the tree back to the Scrapstore for the end of the Fringe Festival.

Come and find the tree on its journey...what will you wish for to make the world a better place?
