We're thrilled to announce that we're going to be working with Cool it Art as part of this year's Wandsworth Fringe. Amanda Callis, the Art Facilitator, Artist & Director of Cool it Art, tells us more about it below.
Cool it Art is excited to be partnering with Work and Play Scrapstore - our first collaboration will be an event for the Wandsworth Fringe, May 2016 - more details to follow soon!
Cool it Art is a Social Enterprise, based in Lambeth, providing free creative opportunities for families to engage in; from pop-up art schools to collaborative murals - our core activity is free weekly art classes for 3-12 year olds.
We focus on creating projects out of household junk which means Work and Play Scrapstore has a natural synergy with the work we do; we are keen to work with them and support their activities. Art doesn’t have to be expensive and using non traditional materials can often break down the barriers of fear of creativity!
You can find out more about Cool it Art on our website, try out some of our free teaching packs and follow what we get up to on our Facebook page.
Thanks so much to Amanda - Make sure you keep us bookmarked to stay updated on our collaboration!
