'Little Village' People!

Due to the generosity of SSQ, who for Christmas sponsored an arts and crafts activity for a local charity, we were delighted to be able offer re-use crafts to the tots and grownups at Little Village on March 1st. We had a great deal of fun with the cute kids and were also joined by our lovely MP, Dr Rosena Allin-Khan and her Caseworker, James Leeman who were keen to join in the fun.

We offered Catherine's famous dress-a-teddy: to make the teddies we use scrap card from the back of samples or old files going to waste. Their funky clothes are made from samples, off-cuts, window-display materials, trimmings and trinkets, all otherwise destined for incineration. Even our scissors, glue and pens are donated to us as waste!

It is wonderful to have been able to support such an amazing local organisation! Little Village provides pre-loved and donated good quality baby clothes and equipment to those who need it. We were in awe of the fantastic volunteers, the organisation of their stock and the number of families they are able to help. What a great idea!

Hope to see more of you in the future, Little Village, and best of luck with your new venture!
