Regular Volunteering

We need help with processing our mountains of donations, inspiring our members with arts and crafts ideas, staffing our busy reception and occasional driving to collect supplies for the store.

Part Time Receptionists Needed!

We particularly need help at the moment to staff our reception. If you like meeting and greeting people, have some IT skills, and have some spare time on a Tuesday, Thursday or the first Saturday of every month, Please get in touch.  We would love to hear from you if you can help with this.

We ask our volunteers to give us a regular commitment for a few hours or a day each week or fortnight on a Tuesday and/or Thursday, 10am - 5pm.

TikTok

We are looking for a volunteer who is media savvy to create and manage TikTok videos for us. We already have a hugely successful Instagram site and would like to expand our social media presence in this way.

Outreach

Part of Scrapstore's mission is to immerse itself in the local community with workshops and pop-ups to help demonstrate upcycling and repurposing materials. We are looking for a small team of volunteers to manage our Outreach programme of around half a dozen events through the year.

Join us as Chair of Trustees

You already know that Work and Play Scrapstore is a friendly and vibrant arts and crafts re-use charity but what you don’t know is that we are looking for a personable individual to become Chair of Trustees to help lead and grow the charity.

Corporate Volunteering

Would you like to boost team morale or just fancy the chance of a day out to help multiple deserving causes (our members!) and have some fun?

We offer a bespoke volunteering opportunity for a group of up to 10 volunteers at a time. Activities are based at the Scrapstore and involve helping us organise and process our stock or giving parts of our store a facelift.

We suggest a donation of £25 per volunteer...for this you will get access to our biscuit tin and refreshments, a tour of the Scrapstore and a welcome from our diverse group of regular volunteers.
