Fifty volunteers, over 1,100 hours a year, and more than 60 tonnes of waste kept from landfill and incineration.

Our band of 50-strong store volunteers are Scrapstore’s lifeline, sorting, sifting, packing and presenting our stock on the shelves. Between them they volunteer for over 1,100 hours, saving some £392,000 in re-used materials and helping divert over 60 tonnes of waste from landfill and incineration each year. In doing this valuable work, they help promote artful re-use of upcycled resources for our near 1,200 Scrapstore members for artistic, educational and therapeutic benefit throughout London. Quite some feat.
