Larking about at Lark Hall Primary
Welcome to our guest blog from Annie Goliath, Arts Award Advisor, Art Club Leader and Intervention Co-ordinator at the Lark Hall Centre for Autism
I work as an intervention co-ordinator at Lark Hall Primary School in the Centre for Autism. As part of my role I deliver a weekly art club which last year won joint first prize in the WWRA Sculpt Us a Recycled Superhero Schools competition.
As part of the prize we were delighted to welcome Jayson Singh to the Centre for Autism this past Friday, where he delivered an engaging Rangoli workshop. The children first learned about the history of Rangoli and then made their own Rangoli inspired tiles. The children were well focused throughout the workshop and enjoyed choosing the colours to create the beautiful patterns.
Soon I am going to make a display to celebrate the artwork that the children made during this fun and inspiring Rangoli workshop.
Thanks to Annie and all at Lark Hall - we can't wait to visit again!
