Countdown to Hazelfest, Scrapstore's annual green festival

Hazelfest will transform the green outside Hazelhurst Estate on Sunday June 22nd with colour, music, storytelling and a good vibe. Come along, 2-5pm, no tickets required and all free. Tooting Community Kitchen and Summerstown Mission provide free scrummy cakes and food, there are over a dozen arts and crafts stalls with activities ranging from jewellery-making, bug hotels, scrap fairies, weaving and facepainting, to wish trees, bike repairs and football coaching from AFC Wimbledon. Plus three live performances, of storytelling, music and dance, culminating in a finale from irrepressible drumming troupe Generate, filling the air with explosive beats. All materials used have been upcycled from donated materials diverted from landfill and incineration.
