Work and Play Scrapstore AGM 2017

It was wonderful to see friends old and new at our AGM on 26th September.

We were pleased to report a stable year, maintaining our diverse membership base and subsequent membership income. Key highlights included the huge quantity of donated materials processed by our amazing volunteers: 31.896 tonnes - used for arts, crafts and play projects - saved from landfill or incineration! The effort involved in processing this stuff required 509.5 days of volunteering - an amazing performance from our wonderful volunteer team - the equivalent of 2 full-time people.

The other highlight was the presentation of our busy calendar of outreach work for 2016-17 where we 'touched' approximately 2450 people from all sections of the community.

For those who came early, they were treated to a special demo by our talented volunteer, Freyja, who helped people make gorgeous book-marks and corners out of paper scraps, to take home for their friends and family. We are very grateful to Freyja for all of her hard work to pull this session
