Catherine's Creations

Our very own Catherine May is exhibiting her exquisite ceramic sculptures as well as monoprints at Putney School of Art and Design on Oxford Road SW15 2LQ. At the vibrant private viewing last Friday evening more than 30 guests were in attendance. With their simplistic forms, the sculptures exude human emotions on their own and through relationships. Keeping the color scheme monochromatic, attention is drawn to the organic forms. A personal favorite, “Ursula” seems completely wrapped up in her own despair, burdened by hopelessness too heavy to bear. Contrasting, “Mother and Child (Reunion)” is an enchanting expression of motherly love. If you have a chance, be sure to drop by the exhibit which runs through Friday 23rd February
