AGM Fun!

What a spread! Laid on by our Trustees and volunteers to celebrate the sign off of our 2018-2019 Annual Report and Accounts.

On 26 November, we had a wonderful celebration with volunteers and friends to highlight our achievements during the previous financial year:

  • 30,400 people (est.) from all sectors of the community benefited from our materials through membership, our outreach work or volunteering.

  • 52.6 tonnes (est.) of waste saved from landfill or incineration

  • 663 individual members/member groups attracted to use the Scrapstore's materials

  • 650 days of volunteering donated (regular volunteers, corporate groups, one-off volunteers)

  • Hazelfest #2 run attracting around 350 people and including 30 local artists/community groups

  • 100 separate murals painted outside the Scrapstore by the local community

  • 2 giant murals commissioned

  • 1 giant upcycled mosaic commissioned and made with the help of around 50 local people

  • 40 separate reuse, upcycling or arts workshops run with 17 other community groups and charities

  • 10 educational tours of the Scrapstore for young people (aged 16-25) undertaken

We also said goodbye, and thank you with lots of gorgeous handmade gifts, to our GM Consultant, Sascha after 6 years of supporting us as a Trustee, volunteer and consultant.
