We're back with the best ever Hazelfest!

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic our annual mini green festival, Hazelfest, will be back in force this summer. Save the date: Sunday June 26th 2-5pm for a free afternoon of fun for all the family. It's part of the wonderful Wandsworth Arts Fringe @wandsworthartsfringe. No ticketing is required and all are welcome. The venue is the green outside Hazelhurst Estate on Blackshaw Road, Tooting where Scrapstore is located.



Visitors can:

  • Make CD portraits with Scrapstore volunteer Berit

  • Get messy with paint with Scrapstore community artist Stevie and channel Jackson Pollock

  • Let Kes from Heart in Art turn you into a lion or butterfly on the facepainting stall (www.heartinartworkshops.co.uk -professional facepainter and mosaic artist)

  • Make a wish on the Wishing Tree with Scrapstore volunteer Teresa

  • Listen to the choir from the Hestia Age Activity Centre (www.hestia.org – the drop-in centre for older people living in Wandsworth)

  • Eat scrummy cakes from the Summerstown Mission (www.smec.org.uk)

  • See the latest moves from the dance troupe from Smallwood School (https://www.smallwood.wandsworth.sch.uk/ )

  • Make junk kites with Cool It Art (www.coolitart.com the social enterprise providing free weekly art classes out of household junk)

  • Listen to the drumming performance from Generate UK (www.generate-uk - the community group supporting those with learning disabilities)

  • Enjoy interactive games and activities with Meet & Make Spaces (www.meetandmakespaces.co.uk – the Tooting-based creative events company)

  • Get lost in storytelling with Alison Royce

  • Be surprised with Scrapstore volunteer Jane in the Lucky Dip

  • Be happy in the knowledge that all materials used have been recycled
