Teddies and Toddlers

WaPs have had a couple of fun days out at long-time member Wandsworth Childminders in Earlsfield, giving our famous Teddy Bear Workshops!

After a warm welcome from Liz Hickson (Lead Childminder Development Officer) and Frances Kelleher Childminding Support Officer, two groups of around 20 children and their child-minders enjoyed a teddy bear story time, followed by great fun decorating their own take-home teddies - gluing and sticking, cutting fabric and paper, and painting and drawing.

This was followed by playtime with toys and books for children and chatting time for adults. The childminders were all really pleased to be reminded that the Scrapstore is now open until 8pm every Tuesday. Everybody had a great time, heading out into the cold to get their teddies home in time for lunch and an afternoon sleep (W&P team included)!
