JACE visit

We really enjoyed our visit on 6th December from a group of young people with JACE Balham! JACE works with young people aged 16-25 to provide training and support for job hunting and apprenticeships. As part of their citizenship and enrichment commitments, a Community topic has been included for the month of December...which meant that they visited us to learn about the waste we divert from landfill or incineration by being creative.

The students listened beautifully whilst we gave them our 'big talk' and then had a tour of the Scrapstore whilst asking insightful questions. After all that, the lovely young people stayed on and did some volunteering with us to process some of our mountains of donations. We always love extra help!

It was great to see you all from JACE. You would be most welcome back again if you ever have time to volunteer!
